Starting September 12th, 2006 Friendship Class will be held the 2nd Tuesday of every month.  The 1st meeting will be at the home of Betty Webster @ 7:00 p.m.

Ancient-Future Worship Series

A New Style of Intergenerational Worship

Rev. David Chhangte will be leading a six part series titled Ancient-Future Worship.

Our world is entering a new era. The primary form of communication is no longer print and verbal explanation, but immersed participation in an audio-visual event. For this reason the Sunday worship event is the most crucial ministry in the church.  What people see, hear, feel and experience in worship has a profound effect on their relationship to God. Ancient-Future worship will show us how this new style of intergenerational worship works.

Ancient-Future worship is rooted in Scripture, draws from the great traditions of historic worship, and seeks to be authentic in a post-Christian culture.

The titles of the six sessions are:

1. Understanding Worship to be held on October 17th

2. The Ministry of Hospitality to be held on October 31st

3. Gathering into God's Presence to be held on November 21st

4. Listening to God through the Word to be held on December 12th

5. Offering Praise and Thanksgiving at the Table to be held on January 9th

6. Going Forth to Love and Serve the Lord to be held on February 13th

Each session will include questions, discussion, and a video presentation.

Beginning October 17, each session will run from 11:05 a.m. to noon (immediately following the regular 10:00 a.m. worship service).  There will be something for everyone in each session so all ages are encouraged to attend.

The series will take place in the newly renovated fellowship hall below the sanctuary.
